Inter Caste Marriage Scheme Eligibility 2025
- The marriages are compulsorily registered in the Office of the Registrar.
- The couples who are engaged in inter-caste marriage can apply incentive within two years of their date of marriage.
- Either husband or wife from the couple who is getting married through inter-caste marriage should be a permanent resident of NCT of Delhi.
- If a person entered into an inter-caste marriage belongs to another state, then their mother and father should have been residing in NCT of Delhi for the last five years.
- The non-SC spouse, whether husband or wife, who is a resident of another state shall furnish an affidavit that his caste is not declared as untouchable in the state to which he belongs and that he follows the Hindu religion. After marriage, such a person will have to reside in NCT of Delhi.
- The widow or widower, up to the age of 35 and without children (Santan), can avail of the incentive under this scheme after entering into an inter-caste marriage.
- At the time of the release of the fixed deposit amount, the engaged couple should provide proof of living together after their marriage.
