Smt. Godavaribai Ganpatrao Khadse College, Muktainagar The Edlabad Taluka Education Society, now known as the Muktainagar Taluka Education Society, was founded in 1954 with the goal of providing quality education to the area’s first-generation learners. Adopting the motto “Tamasoma Jyotirgamaya,” which means “Lead me from darkness to light,” the society initially established a Primary School and a High School in Muktainagar, followed by the launch of a Junior College offering Arts, Commerce, and Science faculties. At that time, Muktainagar Taluka faced numerous challenges and was underdeveloped in many aspects. In the early 1990s, there were limited opportunities for higher education in the region. Recognizing this gap, the Muktainagar Taluka Education Society took the initiative to create an undergraduate and postgraduate college for students in this rural area. This vision was realized with the establishment of Edlabad Science College in 1990, which is now known as MTES’s Smt. Gadavaribai Ganpatrao Khadse College, Muktainagar. The committed management of MTES played a pivotal role in the college’s founding and growth, working diligently to provide equal educational opportunities for local students.

As fields such as Electronics, Computer Science, and Chemical Sciences gained prominence, the college introduced Computer Science and Electronics courses in 1997, followed by a B.Sc. in Information Technology in 2001.
